2018-2019 SENIOR PORTRAIT REQUIREMENTS

All seniors must still have a photo taken during registration for identification cards and Infinite Campus records, regardless of senior photography submissions. The digital photography class will take senior photos free of charge, but you must make arrangements with Mrs. Tory Devries.

Please make certain your photographer is aware of these requirements before the session. All photos must be submitted by the Friday, October 19, 2018 deadline, no exceptions.

PORTRAIT REQUIREMENTS-- OUTDOOR PHOTOS ALLOWED!

POSING/ATTIRE:

  • Head and shoulder shot required.

  • No part of the head may be cut off. Whole-body shots, from-the-waist shots, and/or poses with other parts of the body, including hands or arms, are prohibited.

  • All clothing must adhere to the school dress code policy.

  • No props. Other people, animals, sports equipment, chairs, instruments, cars, hats, costumes or any other object are not acceptable.

  • No printing or watermarks allowed on the photo.

PHOTO/FILE FORMAT:

  • Vertical and color photos only

  • Color photos only.

  • 4x6 or larger

  • No selfies or cell phone photos

  • Photos must be high-resolution in JPG/PNG format with a resolution of 300 dpi or greater

  • The JPEG file must be named/saved as: Senior’sLastName, Senior’sLegalFirstName

SUBMISSION:

  • All senior photos must be emailed to yearbook@wdmcs.org by Friday, October 19, 2018 by 5 p.m. for inclusion in the 2017-2018 yearbook.

  • Please include the student’s first and last name in the *subject line (*photographers sending multiple photos at a time can name each email as they see fit.)

  • Attach the high-resolution image file to the email--DO NOT DRAG AND DROP.

  • You will receive a generic confirmation of receipt with a link to the shared folder of senior portraits. Once received, processed, and uploaded, photos will appear in the shared confirmation folder. A photo appearing in the shared folder DOES NOT guarantee inclusion in the book but serves as a way to verify that we’ve received the photo.

  • If your photo does not meet the requirements, you will receive a follow-up email with additional instructions.

ISSUES/CONFIRMATION/FOLLOW UP

  • You will receive a generic email that serves as confirmation that we've received your email, but--to guarantee inclusion in the 2018-2019 yearbook-- it is your responsibility to check the proof pages for accuracy once they become available October 26.

  • Please do not email asking for confirmation of receipt. We cannot respond to individual inquiries.

  • We will email you directly if you’ve submitted a photo that we can accept.

  • Please know that you will have EVERY opportunity to correct mistakes and/or resubmit after the October 19 deadline during the proofing period of October 26-November 5.

  • During the proofing period, check the yearbook pages to make sure that we have uploaded your photo to the book and spelled the senior’s legal name correctly. THE PHOTOS MAY APPEAR OFF-CENTERED, but this will be fixed before submission. (Every time we upload a new photo, we have to re-center photos, so we won’t do this until the end.)
